The Parched March 2012 Menu

One of the tastiest highlights of our annual charity bar odyssey is the drinks. Of course. 

A journey around our participating bars is a safari for your palate: adventurous, unforgettable - and with more exotic creatures at large than the African Savannah. From divine wines such as Nanny Goat Pinot Noir to unique cocktail creations such as the Eager Beaver to party-starting funsters like the Pink Pussy, there's an animal for every occasion. Each time you buy one of these drinks in March, the host bar donates to our charity, so there's never been a better reason to buy your friends a round.

Agwa Margarita
A special Bolivian twist on an old cocktail favourite 
-The Greengate Hotel

A twist on the old-school Fruit Tingle. House-made lemonade gives you effervescence on the tongue while the Blue Curacao and Parfait Amour combine to sweeten things up. The Pop Rocks and sherbet rim will make you feel the POP.

Apple Cider Kiss
Orchard Crush Cider poured over cubed ice and topped with an elderflower and lime foam

Shiraz, Apricot brandy, Grand Marnier and apricots

Monteiths apple cider, St Germain elderflower liqueur, lime, lemon and mint
- Name This Bar

Barrel Aged Vieux Carre
Jim Beam Rye, Hennessey VS Cognac, Rosso Antico, Dom Benedictine, Peychauds and Angostura Bitters. Stirred and served over ice with a lemon twist. Barrel Aged for minimum 3 weeks.
- Low 302 

Tuaca Liqueur, Sailor Jerry spiced rum, fresh orange juice, lime and sugar.
- The Argyle 
Clemente Cobbler
One of the oldest cocktails originating in the 1830’s, this is a refreshing and summery drink. Served in a cobbler glass, Clement rhum, homemade pineapple syrup, pineapple juice, white grapefruit juice, Lillet Rose aperitif French wine, fresh mandarins and Float Aperol. Crowned with crush ice garnish with fresh mint, orange wedge and nutmeg dust.

Sailor Jerry spiced rum, Maraschino, Coconut milk, lime juice, almond and pineapple syrup, soda

Perfectly capturing the refreshing taste of Sydney, the Dirty Diva is a unique blend of Havana Club Anejo Blanco, vanilla-infused Tuana, passionfruit and pineapple. Flirty and fun, this cocktail is a favourite amongst the Sydney scene and the only way to toast an evening shared between friends. Shaken and served chilled over ice ... let the good times roll!

Kentucky Bramble 
This deep south flavour mixes blackberry conserve with bold Shiraz, Makers Mark bourbon and Grand Marnier. All balanced with fresh lemon and sugar. An authentic southern state experience.

American Honey, fresh lime & ginger beer with Madeira Float.

Mandarino Jewel
Fresh strawberries and orange wedges are muddled into a Boston Shaker, then Russian Standard Vodka is added with Dom Sathanay Fraise liqueur and freshly squeezed lime juice for a refreshing flavour. Shaken not stirred, and double-strained over ice into a Collins glass. The final touch: top up with San Pellegrino Mandarino and garnish with a Strawberry fan.

Calvados and Cartron apricot brandy are combined with Tanqueray gin and fresh lemon juice, served straight up with a fine mist of cardamom and star anise.

Strawberries muddled with fresh cracked black pepper and shaken with McKenna Bourbon Tuaca, lemon juice and almond syrup. The cocktail is presented in a Martini glass garnished with strawberries or lemon peel.
